Sushi Nakazawa

Sushi Nakazawa

Sushi Nakazawa is our favorite sushi restaurant in New York!

Daniel has been to Japan 16 times, and after trying all kinds of sushi, modern and traditional, we still think Sushi Nakazawa is the best.

This restaurant also evokes many memories for us. It’s the first restaurant that Shihan ever took Daniel to. It is also the restaurant we celebrated our engagement the night he proposed!

If you need help getting a reservation, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

The Nomad Restaurant

The Nomad Restaurant

The NoMad Hotel’s casually-elegant food and beverage program comes from Chef Daniel Humm and Restaurateur Will Guidara. Inspired by Chef Daniel’s time spent throughout Switzerland, California, and New York City, the restaurant is rooted in the same traditions found at their critically acclaimed, Michelin three-star rated Eleven Madison Park.

The Nomad is the place where we had our first date!

We love that it’s classy and filled with elegance and character.

The chicken for two is the winner on the menu: roasted bird with foie gras and truffles stuffed under the crispy skin- insanely tasty that you could never resist! For dessert, look no further than the aptly named "Milk & Honey".

Del Posto has always differentiated itself through utter luxury; some of the splendor feels timeless.

We come here to celebrate special occasions. Del Posto is an explosion of Italian grandeur and opulence. It is solid on all fronts, from food to decor to service and it is fine dining with Italian hospitality. The pastas are unimpeachable successes!

Tori Shin

If you like yakitori (Japanese grilled chicken skewers), we highly recommend this restaurant to you.

Tori Shin is the only Michelin starred yakitori place in the United States and only one of three in the world. After trying many yakitori joints all over Tokyo and Kyoto, we still come back to this restaurant because of Head Chef Kono’s dedication to his art and quality of his ingredients.

Decoy

Even in China, people don’t get to eat authentic peking duck everywhere. Duck feasts are the main event at Decoy, and to some extent, very authentic. The whole duck plus crispy skin is served alongside homemade pancakes, three dipping sauces and shots of duck consomme.

Babbo

Babbo, a New York essential.

Opened by MARIO BATALI and JOE BASTIANICH in June 1998, Babbo Ristorante e Enoteca is an exuberant celebration of the best of Italian food, wine and lifestyle.

Hailed with a glowing 3-star review by Ruth Reichl of the New York Times shortly after its opening, Babbo has since been met with much critical acclaim, and was the recipient of the James Beard Foundation’s Best New Restaurant Award for 1998. The menu is a roster of Chef Mario Batali’s lusty creations, incorporating the best and freshest seasonal produce, Italian cheeses, meat, game and seafood, accented with fine Italian olive oils, traditional aceto balsamico and many unusual ingredients that will surprise and delight.

The wine list represents one of the most extensive and intelligent collections in the city, and indeed the country, presided over by Bastianich and served by our expert wine and service teams. Babbo seats up to 90 diners in its split-level dining room, and has a lively bar area where patrons may enjoy a quartino (quarter-liter) of wine, or choose to have a full meal. We are located steps from Washington Square Park, in the center of romantic and colorful Greenwich Village.

Mala Project

Different from the bubbly Hot Pot, in which you slip raw ingredients into broth kept roiling on a camp stove, Chef at Mala Project flips your chosen items from the listed 60 or so ingredients in a wok with a philter of chile and spice (cumin, garlic, ginger, cardamom, licorice, and twenty other spices…). This dry pot arrives in huge bamboo bowls, slick with oil, bathed in sesame seeds. You are going to get addicted!

The décor is tenement chic, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that’s ideal for Friday night chill, with its floor paved with bricks like the Beijing hutongs, and skinny ancient lanes dating back to Kublai Khan.
